Heightened to train came after I was introduced to those already
matured horses that I bought when I was residing in Biasong, Leyte. With an
enormous tract of land on a horseback accompanied by my German Shepheard Dog
called Shaquille, the three of us would venture into a variety of terrains, which
were challenging especially during rainy days. Around that time also, I then
became interested with English riding because I was enamored with that enormous
discipline that goes with it, compared merely to a Western horse utility. Dressage
became my preoccupation that not long after that. I started outfitting my horse
and myself with English tack like an English saddle that I bought outside the
country, a Bridle, Riding Boots and an English Helmet. But after my favorite
cuckoo horse (Judah) unsaddled me several times for reason that he undoubtedly
did not have the usual bit he wore to restrain his hardened mouth and coupled
with a streamlined saddle to easily dismount me, I then was determined to start
afresh with a foal. Not that I totally ignored my cuckoo horse from among the
rest for I continued to mount him relentlessly with that English tack but without
a realistic result, but the foal unknowingly got me into thinking of a new start.
Fast forward, twenty-two years later where I now reside in urban Cebu with fewer resources to even maintain an extravagant expense of just
one horse, I nonetheless have the endowment of a substantial piece of land
approximately three quarter of an acre that has an extra ordinary spot which is
aesthetically quite withdrawn from an urban dwelling. Thus, I continued to live
out that rural environment in a place that I call ‘my heartland homestead’. With
this setting, I was also able to foster matured dogs in my early day here. They
were handed over or given to me because its owner has space problems. Thus, I
never was without a medium sized sport dog in the house. The hindsight however of
having a significantly large place when I started was maintenance, for I was
often out to work to raise my five children, and also did not have an extra
pocket to hire someone nor find someone I could really trust. What it means is that
its keepsake was very gradual and moderate on a specific area while living the
rest of the space to the toll of nature to build up its own blueprint. I gave
more time to focus on maintaining a center lawn and a secondary one near the
entrance with manual labor due to the coarseness of the ground, but was quite content
with it, as I treated them as my physical exercise. Therefore, what I have now
is a gradual nineteen painless years in the making, with me and the interplay
of nature itself on borders of my homestead.
In addition, my fascination with Ham Radio pocket communication
that we link to the Net back then, and this in connection to the digital world
while already here in Cebu, not only induced me further to learn those
digital hoops but also how to also monetize them. This was after I offered my
services to a US company making Term Papers for graduating students, which included
a painstaking effort to cultivate my writing ability, and then content
marketing after I collaborated with the husband of my cousin. He was into a bio-solution
product with impressive results, but it being a sunrise industry needed a lot
of marketing persuasion.
Now, after considering my entire background stories, it suddenly
hit me that these seeming disconnect rest on a pregnant direction that I
should not take aimlessly, for I now possess all the ingredients necessary to not
only forge a plan without convincing a financial investor, and to supervise this
already well established place that I have on my lap, as an enterprise.
